Angus trained in orthopaedic surgery in Perth, Western Australia before completing fellowships in hand surgery with the Victorian Hand Surgery Associates and St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne and hand and upper limb surgery at the Royal Adelaide and Modbury Hospitals in Adelaide.

Angus specialises in hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder surgery. He has interests in all aspects of upper limb surgery. Angus has lectured internationally on elbow instability, elbow joint replacement, and wrist anatomy. He has lectured nationally on many topics including distal radius malunion, forearm reconstruction with pedicled flaps and elbow instability. He has particular interests in elbow instability, hand injuries, and scaphoid fractures / non-union. 

Angus has been the Western Australian Hand Module convener for the registrar’s bone school. He is convener of the annual cadaveric laboratory for the WA Hand Surgery Society. Angus is the past President of the Western Australian Society of Hand Surgery (WASHS). Angus is the current Treasurer for the Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA) WA.

Angus speaks regularly to West Australian Hand Therapists and the West Australian Orthopaedic Registrar group. He enjoys talking to small and large groups and is available upon request.
